The Board’s role is to achieve the Association’s objectives as defined in the Constitution and undertake a stewardship role that is necessary for the proper governance and management of the Association.
Specifically the role of the Board is to:
- Represent the members.
- Provide a connection between the operational arm of the Association and its members.
- Develop governing polices
- The policies are written at a strategic level reflecting the core values and principles of the Association.
- Appoint and ensure the performance of the CEO
- Control staff selection
- Teaching staff are a vital ingredient in the educative process, the Board will control staff primarily through policy that prescribes: Staff Advertising, Staff Selection Criteria, Selection Panel, Staff Appointment, Ministers on the Interview Panel, Staff Induction Process.
- Assess and approve membership and affiliate applications
- Oversee curriculum
- Act as guardians of the Association’s vision
